Seeing snow was one of two reasons I traveled to Australia. The town was about 208 kilometers to the East and fully covered by snow. This place was a part of magnificent Victorian Alps as well as a fascinating area for a variety of snow sports every year.
Oh my God, that was the first time I had touched the snow. That was awesome! Snow was cold, smoothy and fluffy. You could roll it by your hands and make any possible shape you like. Holding a lot of snow on my palm and putting it into my mouth were absolutely amazing experiences. After talking to some people here, I knew that this period was the best time of the last 25 years! There was not only snow on the ground but also snow shower falling from the sky. I was very lucky.
Because I took a day trip, I didn’t have enough time to reveal the entire snow mountain. The fact is you can’t travel around this mountain just within one day since it is huge. Standing at a wooden house somewhere on the mountain, I saw nothing but an extremely plain white. The temperature went down to approximately zero. If you got lost on the mountain, you definitely would turn up on the first page of newspaper on the next day.
There were a lot useful service in the town such as renting clothes, boots, scarfs and many kinds of snow equipment. Additionally, there was a restaurant near the main gate selling coffee, pizza, to say nothing of a hot drinking water machine. The buses were totally free and very convenient to help you transport from place to place. Everything was perfect!
